The Austin Relocation Council is a non-profit organization that brings together corporations and relocation service providers in and around Austin for the primary purpose of providing educational information and current industry updates to its members. As part of our commitment to Relocation, ARC has developed a scholarship program for current high school seniors who have relocated to the greater Austin area within the last 24 months. The one-time award of $3,000 will be presented to one Austin Metropolitan area accredited high school senior. The award will be sent to the college that the student will be attending to assist with tuition, etc.

We must receive all applications by  March 15  to have time to evaluate them and make a selection. The scholarships will be awarded in April 2024. ARC will select the scholarship winner based on the strength of their total scholarship application package.

REQUIREMENTS:

Student must plan to attend college within the current annual school year

The following supporting documents and information must accompany this application:

• Completed Student Application
• Completed Guidance Counselor Form
• Official Transcript showing GPA score (must be a document, not a link)
• Extra-curricular Activities - List of most recent year’s activities in application
• Essay between 1,000 to 1,500 words that, at a minimum, addresses the Student Applicant’s challenges and experiences encountered while relocating to his or her new home and high school in the local area, as well as any successes achieved. It is recommended, but not required, that the essay contain any advice the Student Applicant would give to another teenager preparing to relocate.

The winner may be asked to present their essay at an upcoming ARC meeting, or via video presentation.
